Irrigation systems, whether controlled manually or automatically, offer the opportunity to place water uniformly and evenly over a designed area or space. We use localized or (area) irrigation to distribute water under low pressure through a piped network, in a predetermined pattern and applied as a small discharge to each plant or adjacent to it. Drip irrigation, spray or micro-sprinkler irrigation and bubble irrigation are types of localized irrigation that we build in Santa Barbara, Carpentaria, Ojai, Ventura, Camarillo, Oxnard, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills and Newbury Park.
Money-saving "smart" irrigation systems utilize the same distribution system but have an enhanced irrigation controller. "Smart" irrigation controllers tailor watering schedules and run times automatically to meet specific landscape needs, improving outdoor water use efficiency and saving you money. They automatically update the watering schedule for changes in water needs due to weather changes, site conditions, and plant and irrigation types. Some systems available on the market are Rainbird ESP-SMT, Weather TRAC, Toro Intelli-Sense Controller and Weather Matic's Smart Line controller.
The Weather Matic Smart Line controller is especially owner-friendly and economical. Our irrigation vendors are highly skilled troubleshooters for the rare problems that occur, and are available to help 24-7. Also, most water companies offer a rebate for installing a smart irrigation controller. Clearly, installing a "smart" irrigation system and controller just makes sense.
